Welcome to the world Baby Juliette
In the midst of the most devastating news a parent could ever imagine, 11-week old baby Juliette brings a little ray of sunshine and hope to the Potts family who visited our studio recently for some updated family photos with a newborn feel for Juliette. Juliette must have known how important these were to her family and delivered the most heartwarming smiles throughout her session.
For those not familiar with the Potts family story, Juliette's adoring big sister Annabelle Potts was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) 18 months ago. DIPG is a highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumor found at the base of the brain. There is no cure and the outlook is not good. Annabelle flew to Mexico the following day after capturing these beautiful photos.
Annabelle is well known and loved by the Canberra community whose kindness and generosity have enabled Annabelle to undertake promising treatment in Mexico that her parents attribute her tumor remaining inactive for almost three months. New signs of small growth outside the brain stem will require Annabelle to now have six-weekly trips to Mexico at a cost $30,000 per trip and treatment.
Annabelle is your typical giggly soon to be 5-year-old, she adores her baby sister and brother William, loves going to pre-school, is pretty good at striking a pose and out-performed her photographer at silly faces.
There are a number of ways in which you can help, lobbying the Government for significant funding towards DIPG research in Australia and clinical trials similar to those in Mexico is one way however Annabelle’s needs are more immediate than this and you can make the most impact now by donating to Love for Annabelle go fund me page https://au.gofundme.com/annabellepotts or attending the Love for Annabelle fundraising dinner https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/love-for-annabelle-fundraising-dinner-tickets-41739457842?aff=eac2
Congratulations to the Pott’s family on the arrival of your beautiful daughter Juliette.
